Just as its name implies, image repair is the next step beyond image restoration. This includes fixing torn photos, and retouching badly damaged prints. A restoration job turns into a repair job when it requires a lot of hand work. Repair is most often required for historic photos or those damaged by fire, flood, solvents, or other physical processes.
